The independent exhibition of artistic photography by the author Kosta Dupchinov, titled ‘Nostalgia: Second Part,’ has opened.

On April 11, 2022, the ‘Nostalgia Second Part’ exhibition by Kosta Dupchinov was held in the premises of the House of Crafts in Kumanovo. This exhibition featured a collection of 34 photographs, serving as a thematic continuation of his first exhibition, ‘Nostalgia,’ held in 2017. The event was organized with the support of Photo Club Kumanovo, National Photo Union, and the Foundation for Culture and Sports in Kumanovo.

The showcased photo collection captured moments and emotions through artistic photography, portraying portraits of heroes of a bygone era, craftsmen, and their works. As time passes, their works and crafts, though timeless, evoke a nostalgic reflection on the past. These crafts, once integral to many communities throughout history, unfortunately, face decline in our modern world, lamented the exhibition organizer.

Kosta Dupchinov, born in 1985 in Bitola, is a graduate of the Technical Faculty in Bitola, Department of Informatics and Computer Technology. Currently in his third year of postgraduate studies at the JNU Film Institute, Ohrid Film Academy, Department of Cinematography, Dupchinov developed a passion for photography from an early age, inspired by his grandfather’s photography pursuits. He has been working professionally since 2006 as a photographer in a Bitola photo studio. During this period, he also served as a cameraman for Channel 5 television. In 2011, as one of the founders of the Photocinema Club Bitola, he began participating in international and state exhibitions, amassing more than 70 exhibitions and earning about 20 awards and recognitions. His photos have been part of the collection representing the country at the FIAP World Cup of Photography.
