For the fourth consecutive year, Photo Club Kumanovo has assumed the role of the organizer for the inter-club exhibition of artistic photography titled ‘Women and Photography.’ Invitations to participate in the exhibition were extended to photography clubs across the Republic of Macedonia. The call garnered over 30 applications from female photographers, resulting in the review of more than 200 photos. Guided by the slogan, ‘Women-Photographers and their opportunity for free expression through photography, the discovery of themselves and the world around them,’ the curator of the exhibition, Zaklina Stefanovska, carefully selected 60 artistic photographs.
This year, the participation extended to more authors from FC Prilep, FKK Bitola, as well as independent contributors. The exhibition featured a free theme, allowing authors to present their work in both color and black and white techniques. The venue for the exhibition, as well as its opening, took place at NUCC ‘Trajko Prokopiev’ in Kumanovo.
The ‘Women and Photography’ exhibition is dedicated to acknowledging the ongoing struggle of women for economic, political, and social equality.
