On Friday, October 22, 2021, at the Kumanovo Artisan House, as part of the Wire Artworks 2021 event, photographs by Marija Jovanovska, a member of the Kumanovo Photo Club, were exhibited.
Marija Jovanovska, born in 1986 in Kumanovo, Macedonia, inherited her love for photography from her father. Introduced to the secrets of analog photography at an early age, she attended photography seminars and actively participated in school exhibitions, Olympiads, club, state, and international photography exhibitions aimed at young enthusiasts. She describes her passion for photography as an intimate relationship between the lens and its horizon.
Focusing primarily on capturing the beauty and spontaneity of every trivial emotion in a moment, Jovanovska sees photography as a means of freezing a fraction of time, endowing each photograph with a sense of fecundity. Photography, for her, is a hobby that she enjoys as much as her free time allows. Every trip she takes is dedicated to photography and the exploration of the unknown.
Her photographs convey a clear and unequivocal message that captivates the viewer’s eye. She showcases her work through the Photo Club Kumanovo.
The event is organized by Wire Entertainment, an independent music publishing house, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Kumanovo. The exhibition is executed in compliance with all protocols for organizing events in a closed space.
